The Luxury of Permanent Hair Removal with Electrolysis

What is electrolysis?
Electrolysis is the only FDA-approved method for achieving smooth, hair-free skin permanently. Using a delicate, ultra-fine probe, a gentle current is applied to the hair follicle, targeting the root and preventing future growth. Each individual hair is treated with precision, leaving your skin silky and refined.

What does electrolysis feel like?
In the hands of a skilled professional (that’s me!), electrolysis is a comfortable experience, often less intense than waxing, tweezing, or laser treatments. You may feel a slight warmth or tingling as each follicle is treated, followed by minor redness or swelling that typically fades within 30 minutes. To ensure the most relaxing session, consider taking a mild pain reliever beforehand, stay well-hydrated, and schedule your appointment outside of your menstrual cycle if you’re extra sensitive. For added comfort, ask about soothing topical anesthetics available over the counter or by prescription.

What areas can be treated with electrolysis?
Electrolysis can be used to create a flawless look almost anywhere on the body, except inside the nose or on mucous membranes. Popular treatment areas include eyebrows, upper lip, chin, sideburns, underarms, arms, back, shoulders, chest, bikini line, legs, fingers, and toes—wherever you desire smooth, touchable skin.

For safety reasons, I cannot treat hair growing in moles without a doctor’s note. If you have concerns about hair growth in moles or raised skin areas, a dermatologist can provide guidance.

How many sessions will I need?
Since every body is unique, your electrolysis journey will be tailored just for you. Different areas have varying hair densities, and each follicle requires multiple treatments for complete removal. If you’ve been waxing or tweezing, only about 12-20% of your hair is in a treatable phase at any given time, so you may notice fresh regrowth as your natural cycle resets. Consistency is key to achieving your desired results. Most clients see noticeable improvements within 3 to 12 months. Once your journey to smooth skin is complete, I’ll miss you—but I’ll be so thrilled for you!

Can I have electrolysis if I have a medical condition?
Electrolysis is safe for most clients, but certain conditions, such as lupus or the use of Accutane, may require special consideration. Before your first treatment, we’ll have a thorough consultation to ensure electrolysis is the perfect fit for you. If you have any questions or medical concerns, I’m happy to guide you toward the best solution for your skin.
