2 Hours Electrolysis

Pre-Treatment Guidelines (Dos & Don’ts) 

 Dos:

•Hydrate well in the days leading up to your appointment.  

•Gently exfoliate the treatment area 24 hours before your session.

• Let the hair grow to at least 1/8 inch (about the length of a grain of rice).

•Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning for at least 48 hours before treatment.

•Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser on the treatment area.

• Inform me of any medications, health conditions, or recent treatments.

Don’ts 

• Do not wax or tweeze the hair before your appointment, as this removes the root needed for effective treatment.  

• Avoid applying lotions, oils, or makeup on the treatment area on the day of your appointment.  

•Do not consume caffeine or alcohol 24 hours before treatment, as they may increase sensitivity.  

• Avoid scheduling treatments close to Botox, fillers, chemical peels, or laser treatments.  

•Do not use retinols, glycolic acid, or other active exfoliants 24 hours before treatment.

• Shaving is okay between sessions if it will be a while before seeing me.

Post-Treatment Care (Dos & Don’ts)

Dos:

•Apply a soothing, fragrance-free moisturizer to reduce redness.  

•Use a cold compress if needed to calm irritation.

•Keep the treated area clean and avoid touching it with unwashed hands.

•Wear sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) if the treated area is exposed to the sun.

•Allow scabs (if any) to heal naturally do not pick at them.

Don’ts

•Avoid excessive sweating, hot tubs, saunas, and intense workouts for 24-48 hours.  

•Refrain from using harsh skincare products, exfoliants, or active ingredients (e.g., retinol, glycolic acid) for 48 hours.

•Do not apply makeup, deodorant, or perfumed lotions on the treated area for 24 hours.

•Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for at least 48 hours.

•Do not wax or tweeze between sessions. Only trimming and/or shaving is allowed.
